Steady GroundPrivate recordkeeping

Private recordkeeping for calmer next steps

Document what
happened.
Then put it down.

The goal isn’t to spend more time documenting your conflict. It’s to spend less time living in it.

Steady Ground keeps your factual records, screenshots, and documents in one private place so you can find what matters without living in it.

Built for your records. Pause stays private. You do not need your co-parent to use it.

The part nobody explains

They told you to document everything.
But where?

So it ends up everywhere. And when you actually need one specific thing, you spend an evening living through all of it again.

Who built this

Built by a parent who needed it first.

I'm Kristen, a full-time working and homeschooling mom of two who knows firsthand how overwhelming high-conflict co-parenting can become when life is already full.

Steady Ground grew from lived experience. I wanted a place I could call my own, somewhere to document what happened, pause and sort through the noise, and communicate with intention instead of emotion.

I shaped Steady Ground around what I needed in my own life and then expanded it into something I hope can help other parents carry a little less of the stress through one of the hardest seasons of their lives.

I'm not an attorney or therapist, just a parent who lives this reality, saw the gap, and decided to create something better.

Why this exists

"The goal isn't to spend more time documenting your conflict. It's to spend less time living in it." - Kristen

Private to you

Steady Ground is private to the account owner.

Plainly, without overpromising: here is what that means in practice.

Your account, your records

Records, notes, and attachments belong to the account that created them. Nobody else signs in and browses them.

Attachments are stored privately

Uploaded screenshots and documents are kept in private storage and are not reachable by a public link.

Nothing leaves unless you send it

A report or export exists because you built it and chose to download it. There is no automatic sharing.

Pause stays out of everything

What you write in Pause is never pulled into reports, exports, or record packages.

What happened?

Pickup was 30 minutes late. Confirmed by text at 5:52 PM and the child was calm at handoff.

Saved to your records

When it happens

Capture the fact.
Not the whole feeling.

Pick a category and see a real entry take shape: what happened, when, who was there, and the file attached to it. That’s the whole thing — under a minute, from your phone.

Date, time, people involved, category, notes, attachment. Only the category and what happened are required.

“Recorded. You can put it down now.”

What stays yours

What happened goes in Quick Log.
What you’re feeling can go in Pause.

Some of it isn’t a fact — it’s the weight of the day. Pause is a private place to put that down, with a prompt if you want one.

Pause entries do not appear in factual reports, exports, or record packages. Ever.

The whole loop

Five steps, most of them small.

  1. Step 1

    Something happens

    A late exchange, a message, a bill, a doctor's note.

  2. Step 2

    Log it

Open Quick Log. Category, what happened, done in under a minute.

  3. Step 3

    Attach evidence

Add the screenshot or photo straight from your phone.

  4. Step 4

    Save

“Recorded. You can put it down now.”

  5. Step 5

    Put it down

It's written. You don't have to keep holding it.

When you need clarity

Find the record set you need.

Filter by date, category, or related records. Create a focused, organized report package when you are ready to review it.

Is this for me?

If any of these sound familiar.

  • Exchanges keep shifting, and you can never remember which weeks ran late.
  • Messages arrive in bursts and you want the facts without re-reading all of it.
  • You're asked for dates months later and you're reconstructing them from memory.
  • Medical, school, and expense details live in five different places.
  • You've been told to “keep track,” and no one told you how.
  • You want to write something down and then stop thinking about it.

Just as important

What Steady Ground is not.

Not legal advice

Steady Ground doesn't tell you what to do, what to file, or what any of it means. That's a conversation for your attorney.

Not a communication platform

There's no messaging with your co-parent here. Nothing you write is sent to anyone.

Not a custody-outcome predictor

It doesn't score your situation or forecast what happens next. It keeps your records organized.

Simple pricing

One calm place. One price.

Questions

The things people ask first.

Can my co-parent see my records?

No. Your records belong to your account. Your co-parent isn't invited, isn't notified, and has no way to sign in and read what you've written. The only way anything leaves Steady Ground is if you build a report or export and share it yourself.

Does Steady Ground give legal advice?

No. Steady Ground is a private recordkeeping tool, not a law firm and not a substitute for one. It doesn't interpret your situation, recommend a course of action, or predict an outcome. For advice about your case, talk to a licensed attorney in your state.

Do I need my co-parent to have an account?

No. Steady Ground works entirely on your side. Nothing about it depends on anyone else participating.

What about privacy and my attachments?

Screenshots and documents you upload are held in private storage tied to your account and are not reachable through a public link. Pause entries are kept separate and never appear in reports or exports.

What's in a report?

A report is the set of factual records you choose — filtered by date range and category — organized in order with an index of the attachments referenced. It's your material, arranged so it's readable.

How do I cancel?

From Settings, in a couple of taps. Access continues through the end of the period you already paid for, then the account closes to new entries. Because Steady Ground is a digital product, payments already made are final.

A steadier place to keep the facts.

Less time reconstructing what happened. More room to move forward.
