AI Disclosure
Last updated August 2026
Steady Ground has one optional AI feature: a private companion inside Pause. It never reads, interprets, or rewrites your records.
Records are never sent to an AI model
Your factual records, uploaded files, report snapshots, and written Pause entries are not sent to any AI model or third-party language provider, and nothing you write is used to train a model. What you see in a record or a report is your own wording, unchanged.
The Pause companion is opt-in and unsaved by default
If you choose to open a conversation in Pause, only the messages you type in that conversation are sent to the model provider to generate a reply. The provider is instructed not to retain them. By default the conversation is not stored in your account at all: it lives in your browser tab, and closing it ends it.
You can choose to keep a conversation. A kept conversation is saved to your account, is visible only to you, can be deleted at any time, and deletes itself automatically 30 days after its last message.
What the companion will not do
It does not give legal advice, predict how a court will rule, diagnose anyone, or write into your records. Nothing from a conversation appears in Records, Patterns, Reports, exports, or evidence packages unless you type it there yourself.
Not legal advice
Steady Ground organizes records you provide, for review. It does not offer legal advice or determine what a court will accept.
