Privacy Policy

Your account email, an optional display name and time zone, the records you create, files you upload as evidence, private Pause entries, the report packages you generate, and any Pause conversation you have specifically chosen to keep.

Only you. Every record, file, and entry is scoped to your account at the database level, so it cannot be read by another account. Uploaded evidence lives in private storage that requires your session to access.

Private reflections and conversations are stored in separate tables with a separate query path. They are excluded from record search, Patterns, report snapshots, CSV and JSON exports, and evidence packages at the server level, not only in the interface.

Your records, files, and written Pause entries are never sent to an AI provider. The optional companion inside Pause sends only the messages you type in that conversation, and the conversation is not stored in your account unless you choose to keep it. Kept conversations delete themselves 30 days after the last message, and you can delete them all at once from Settings. See the AI Disclosure page.

We do not sell, rent, or trade your information, and we do not use your records to train advertising profiles.

You can export your records as CSV or JSON at any time, and you can delete individual records, files, entries, or your entire account. Deletion removes the data from active systems; routine backups age out on their normal schedule.

If you live in California, Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah, or another state with a comparable privacy law, you have the right to know what personal data we hold, to correct or delete it, and to opt out of any “sale” or “sharing” of your personal data for targeted advertising. We do not sell or share your personal data — there is nothing to opt out of, and you can exercise these rights from inside the app by exporting or deleting your data, or by contacting us through the contact route provided in the app. We will respond within the timeframe your state’s law requires.

For clarity: “Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information” — we do not, and we will not, sell or share your personal information for monetary or advertising benefit.

Data is encrypted in transit and at rest by our infrastructure provider. Use a strong, unique password, and sign out on shared devices — physical access to an unlocked device is the risk we cannot protect against.
